Mr. Kemp is a shareholder in Kemp & Stich, P.C. He specializes in all areas of taxation within the firm. Mr. Kemp has over twenty years of business experience including ten years in the tax departments of the international accounting firms of Arthur Andersen & Company and KPMG Peat Marwick. He was a Senior Manager with KPMG Peat Marwick when he left to pursue a career in private practice.
Since 1989 Mr. Kemp has devoted his efforts to the accounting and consulting firm of Kemp and Stich, P.C. He is the Partner-in-Charge of Taxation within the firm. Mr. Kemp is responsible for over 250 clients ranging in size from individuals to major local companies.
Professional Accreditations
Mr. Kemp is a Certified Public Accountant licensed in the State of Texas. He earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting from Texas A&M University in 1979.
Mr. Kemp is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Texas Society of Certified Public Accountants.
Mr. Kemp is a member of University United Methodist Church where he teaches an adult Sunday School Class. He is also a Senior High youth sponsor and is actively involved with the youth of the church and surrounding community.
Mr. Kemp’s hobbies include golf, running, reading and coaching his sons´ sports teams.
